LEGO Speed Champions Wall Display Case Review: Check the Exact Cars

|CubeBuff Editorial Team
Compare enclosed wall cases: Car fit · access · mounting. Illustration, not to scale.

The best wall-mounted display case for a LEGO Speed Champions collection starts with the exact cars. A case sold for Speed Champions is not automatically compatible with every vehicle in the theme. Published fit lists reveal an important difference between the examples below.

Review method and context: this comparison uses the manufacturers’ product pages and the identified installation PDF, checked on 15 October 2026. We have not assembled or tested these cases. CubeBuff sells display products; the third-party cases below are discussed as documented alternatives. There are no hands-on scores or customer ratings in this review.

The most useful fit distinction

Wicked Brick’s six-car 2 × 3 wall case explicitly excludes the Formula 1 sets 77242, 77243, 77244, 77245, 77246, 77247, 77248, 77249, 77250 and 77251. The product title’s theme name should not override that exclusion.

iDisplayit’s ten-car F1 Series wall case explicitly lists those ten set numbers. For an owner of that lineup, this is a documented compatibility difference, before appearance or capacity is considered.

Compare dimensions on the same basis

Exact product Published dimensions Decision point
Wicked Brick six-car 2 × 3, LDS428.1.9 External 60.6 × 12 × 19.6 cm Wide six-car presentation; listed F1 exclusions apply.
iDisplayit ten-car F1, WC481050-BLK-SC Internal 48 × 10 × 50 cm; external 51 × 11 × 53 cm Two cars per level; the listed ten-car F1 lineup is supported.

The figures above are manufacturer specifications, not our measurements. Use external dimensions for the wall footprint and internal dimensions for the space inside. Do not compare one maker’s inside size with another maker’s outside size as if they were equivalent.

Read the access and support details

iDisplayit describes a removable front panel and an adjustable wall hook. Wicked Brick describes locating features for the cars and an acrylic assembly using screws and connector blocks. These details help identify questions to ask; they do not establish our experience of assembly, alignment or long-term stability.

Check how the front is accessed at your intended wall position and how the cars are retained. Obtain the exact installation instructions before selecting wall fixings. A different case’s manual cannot establish the bracket or release order for these SKUs.

Another F1 option has its own version list

Wicked Brick’s ten-car F1 case is a separate product from its six-car case. Its version lists matter: Version 1 includes 77247, while Version 2 replaces that entry with 77259. The other listed sets are 77242, 77243, 77244, 77245, 77246, 77248, 77249, 77250 and 77251.

The LDS832.1.10 / LDS832.2.10 instructions belong to that ten-car product. Use the version and document that match your purchase; do not transfer its steps to the six-car case.

What this review can recommend

For the 77242–77251 F1 lineup, exclude the six-car Wicked Brick SKU above because its own page excludes those sets. Compare the exact F1-specific versions and your room using their published information. For other cars, obtain a positive fit confirmation instead of interpreting an absent exclusion as approval.

We cannot rank assembly ease, dust ingress, wall stability or finish from these documents alone. Those questions need matching samples and a stated test method.

Keep open frames separate from enclosed cases

A single-car wall frame does not become a multi-car enclosure because it shares the Speed Champions theme. CubeBuff’s single-car display frame is a separate format. Use the Speed Champions collection for current CubeBuff choices, checking each product’s format and exact set compatibility.
