Prepare, assemble and maintain

Assembly & Care

This general guide helps you prepare the workspace and protect the completed model. The instructions supplied with the exact product remain the primary assembly reference.

Before assembly

  • Move the LEGO® model away from the work surface.
  • Use a clean, stable area large enough for the complete panels.
  • Check the supplied parts against the product-specific instructions.
  • Keep protective film in place until the step indicated by the instructions.
  • Clear the route to the final display location.

Assemble the empty display first

Follow the supplied sequence and do not force a panel or connector that is not aligning. Confirm that the empty display is stable before the model is transferred. For wall formats, verify the actual wall and installation method before loading the display.

Move the model carefully

Support the build from stable structural areas rather than wings, mirrors, antennae, body panels or other projecting details. Keep the model’s widest and tallest points clear of the panels.

Routine care

Remove loose dust with a clean, soft microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, rough paper products and unverified chemical cleaners that can mark a clear surface. Clean with light pressure and support panels rather than flexing them.

When to stop

If a part appears damaged, a panel will not align or the instructions do not match the supplied components, pause the assembly and contact support with the product name, set number, order reference and clear photographs.
