LEGO Project Hail Mary 11389 Display Guide shown with the matching display product

LEGO Project Hail Mary 11389 has two things to show: the spacecraft's extended outline and the smaller scene beneath it. A useful display position lets you see both without the lower details disappearing behind the case edge. Choose that viewpoint before deciding how much printed scenery to add.

Connect the ship with the scene below

Begin with a front three-quarter view of your completed build. Follow the spacecraft from one end to the other, then look down to the scene at its base. If one part hides another, adjust your viewing position before changing the model's arrangement. On a high shelf, the ship may remain prominent while the foreground becomes difficult to see.

A desk or lower cabinet gives you more opportunity to look into the display from above. A shelf viewed from across a room places more emphasis on the silhouette. Pick the location that shows the part of the build you enjoy most.

Compare the three photographed configurations

Configuration What changes visually Useful when
Clear Background Your room remains visible behind the spacecraft. You want the ship to sit within a wider collection.
Printed Background The rear artwork provides a setting behind the build. You want a defined scene with a relatively simple front.
Premium Printed Display Printed treatment extends around more of the presentation. You want the case and build to read as one framed composition.

Plan space around the finished enclosure

The product page lists a 34 × 32 × 34.3 cm display, in width, depth and height. Use these measurements for the finished enclosure's place on your furniture. They do not establish spare interior clearance around a modified model.

Allow working space to assemble and access the display. Before placing it between other objects, rehearse where your hands will approach the model and where you can set any removable parts of the enclosure.

Choose the view you will see every day

Take one photograph from your normal seat and another from the room entrance. Favor the arrangement that keeps the spacecraft and foreground connected in both views. Then choose the background that supports that composition. The display product is sold separately from the LEGO model.
