The roof equipment is central to LEGO Ghostbusters ECTO-1 10274. A shelf that only reveals the side of the car can hide much of that character. Plan an everyday view that lets you see the roof as well as the long body, side graphics and rear fins.
Set the viewing height around the roof
Compare the model from a seated position and a standing position before deciding on a shelf. A slightly elevated three-quarter view can show the roof equipment and the front corner together. A lower side view emphasizes the long vehicle shape but compresses the equipment into an overlapping outline.
Choose the view you use most often. If the display lives beside a desk, prioritize the seated sightline. If it is on a console near a doorway, check how the front and rear read as you walk past. Keep taller neighboring collectibles away from the roof line.
Measure more than the body length
The current CubeBuff case for 10274 lists external dimensions of 56 × 31 × 30.3 cm. Use these for the furniture footprint and overall enclosure height. They are not the dimensions of the bare vehicle or a guarantee of spare space inside it.
Account for the intended support and the tallest roof details when confirming fit. If you want to display an opening feature, verify that configuration separately with the case's usable internal clearance. Do not force equipment or panels into a closed case to preserve a pose.

Decide how scenic the display should feel
Printed Background gives ECTO-1 a dedicated setting. Clear can work better when it joins a row of movie vehicles and you want the cars to share the same room background. In both versions, check that the white body and the equipment on top stay visually separate from what is behind them.
Look at the full arrangement, including the space around the fins and nose. A busy backdrop plus several props outside the case can make the vehicle harder to read. Often the car and one deliberate background are enough.
Leave a route for access
Roof details make overhead handling space especially useful. Follow the enclosure's opening method, and leave a place to set removed parts down before reaching the model. Assemble and check the empty display first rather than trying to complete the enclosure around an awkwardly positioned car.
The case helps separate the model from everyday contact, but it is not a reason to make the display inaccessible. Keep the front and at least one practical working approach clear so you can inspect or rearrange the model without disturbing the surrounding collection.
Pair it with other film vehicles deliberately
If ECTO-1 shares a shelf with a time machine, give each model enough visual space for its own silhouette. Our DeLorean display guide explains why exact set matching matters even within one vehicle theme. Use the shelf measuring guide for the combined furniture plan.
Check set 10274 and the selected background on the product page. The display case is supplied without the LEGO vehicle.
